Michael Matthies
Managing Director
Michael is Managing Director and Founder of Ockham Partners, where he leads all management, business development, and incubation strategies, as well as oversees Ockham’s sourcing and research services. Ockham Partners acquired Clearpath Solutions, LLC in December 2016.
Michael has more than 20 years of global experience as a successful hands-on executive, serial entrepreneur, and emerging technology leader with broad focus and relationships in the SaaS/telecom/wireless space.
Prior to his role at Ockham, Michael was Managing Partner at Clearpath Solutions, a boutique search firm in Seattle. Prior to Clearpath, Michael led global strategic partnerships for Origin Digital (an Accenture company). Prior to Accenture, he was Managing Partner of Garrison Finish where he led the Incubation Group, Founded Groundswell, Inc. (integrated Web Analytics platform) and Détente Software (PAN stack for syncing Media Files).
Jena Swarick
Managing Partner
Jena is Managing Partner at Ockham Partners, and has over 15 years of progressive human resource experience with an emphasis in staffing, organizational development and workforce diversity. She has filled positions around the globe ranging from new college grads through executive leadership. Jena is a talent leader who has built recruiting programs and led recruiting initiatives at Amazon, Tableau and Apple. Technical environments have been a focus and she has worked with companies ranging from fast growth start-ups to large global corporations.

Lisa is a Member of the Board and Advisor to Clearpath Solutions and Ockham Partners. In December 2016, Ockham Partners acquired Clearpath Solutions. Lisa was the Founder and Managing Partner of Clearpath Solutions, a boutique technical executive recruiting services firm focusing on partnering with many of Seattle and the Bay Area's most prominent early-stage tech and biotech companies. Clearpath's reputation is based on 18+ years of hunting for top entrepreneurial talent for executive roles, as well as building teams across all disciplines including product, engineering, research, marketing, services and sales.
Prior to founding Clearpath, Lisa was the Senior Recruiting Manager at Intellectual Ventures where she led and managed a high producing talent acquisition team for one of Seattle's fastest growing invention capital companies. Lisa also has spent time at some of Seattle’s top technical companies including Vulcan and Zillow (pre-launch where she recruited and built Zillow's national sales team, and successfully sourced and filled technical positions for the CTO).
